Vinyl Tumbler Wraps - Application Guidelines

Now you can salvage defective tumblers or apply to a non-sublimation coated tumbler!

Vinyl Tumbler Transfers:

• Professionally printed on white permanent, adhesive vinyl
• Sized as standard Sublimation Tumbler Wraps
• Each Vinyl Transfer includes clear laminate overlay sheet to protect design from scratches
• Peel & Stick - caution: this is permanent vinyl and cannot be repositioned after applying. Consider using Transfer Spray to have the ability to manipulate the Vinyl Transfer before securing in place.
• Application of Clear Laminate (included) is recommended. While the Vinyl Transfer is full color and permanent, the ink can show wear without a laminate protective covering.
• Vibrant, full color
• White and blank areas in an image will remain white, due to being printed on white vinyl.

Recommended Supplies:

• Squeegee
• Cup Cradle
• Application Spray
• X-acto Knife

Standard Guidelines for Application:

• Wrap Vinyl Tumbler Wrap around cup to ensure proper sizing - trim excess or reduce size of transfer, if desired
• Clean tumbler surface with soap and water, dry fully with lint-free cloth.
• Place tumbler in cup cradle (if available)
  
• Saturate the tumbler surface with Application Spray, if applicable - turning in cradle as you spray.
• Peel Tumbler Wrap Transfer from a corner, exposing about 2-3 inches of the full sheet, being careful not to stick to anything. 
• With the Tumbler surface wet, begin aligning the Vinyl Tumbler Wrap ensuring the design is straight.
• Once you are satisfied with placement, begin to squeegee the Transfer to remove any air or application spray. Begin to squeegee from the inner portion of the transfer that is attached to the tumbler, working your way to the outer edges. Use care to squeegee gently to avoid scratching the design.
• Ensure the whole tumbler is still wet with application spray (if using) before continuing; if not, respray tumbler.
• Gently Turn the Tumbler in the cradle while peeling away the rest of the backing using a slow, even pull. You can use your hand to lay the vinyl on the tumbler as you roll/apply. You can continue to wrap the remainder of the tumbler and fully remove backing.
• Beginning in the original area that has already been squeegeed in place, Continue to squeegee the newly applied area focusing on the middle and fanning to the outer edges. Continue working to remove all air and spray from under the vinyl transfer.
• Lamination sheet is applied with the same technique as the Printed Vinyl.
  

Special Considerations:

• Application spray may be sprayed on the tumbler wrap to facilitate clear laminate application.
• Air trapped under vinyl will cause failure of the transfer. Be sure to squeegee and remove all air during the Vinyl Transfer application and the Lamination process. 
• Carefully trim any excess vinyl to ensure all edges are secure with no air. An X-acto knife works nicely.
• Check the sizing before application, for best results, and trim as needed. 
• Vinyl Transfers can be applied over previous transfers and is suitable for metal, acrylic, plastic, etc.
